ECCO  is a Danish company founded in 1963 by Karl Toosbuy, in Bredebro, Denmark.The company began with only the production of footwear, but has since expanded into leather production, as well as accessories and small leather goods. ECCO owns and manages practically every aspect of the value chain from tanneries and shoe manufacturing to wholesale and retail activities.

Today ECCO’s products are sold in 99 countries from over 2,250 ECCO shops and more than 14,000 sales points.

The global digital team supports US, Australia, Canada, China, Japan, south Korea and Singapore  and their digital teams. The global digital team focuses on the Omni-channel infrastructure, constantly improving, driving sales, serving their customers on a global level.

My Role:

  • Setting up a strong foundation for the new in house UX team
  • Setting up a Design System to create consistency and quality
  • Setting up the right method for doing Usability research globally for ECCO
  • Responsible for doing global usability testing using a variety of methods like on Site ( if possible) and Remote moderated testing
  • Design and deliver high-fi prototypes to support the innovations and optimalisation for ECCO.com, focusing on quick optimalisations in the Growth Hack Team
  • And bigger projects like: OMNI, Customer Service, Product Detail Page, Return flow, Navigation, My account environment and automated emails for the global Markets
